1. Who we are
Meet Science and Technology (Wuhan) Co., Ltd. ("we", "us", the "Company"), registered at Room 301A, Enterprise and Talent Service Center, 3rd Floor, Tower, V+ Partner Building, No. 371 Youyi Avenue, Xujiapeng Street, Wuchang District, Wuhan, China, is the data controller responsible for personal data collected through these online information sessions and the related registration forms.
2. What we collect
- Identity & contact: name, email address, country/region, and any optional field you choose to provide (e.g. field of expertise, organisation).
- Session engagement: your registration, attendance, and any questions you submit during the session.
- Later stage only: if you choose to proceed to a one-to-one consultation, your CV/resume and further details — collected separately, under a separate explicit consent.
We do not collect your IP address for personalisation on the sessions page. Your display language and time zone are detected locally in your browser and are not transmitted to us.
3. Why we collect it
- To register you for the session and send joining instructions and reminders.
- To share information about the Global Excellent Scientists Fund and related application pathways you have asked about.
- Where you request it, to introduce you to partner host institutions (universities, research institutes and enterprises) for talent matching.
4. Legal basis
We rely on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and the UK GDPR equivalent) for the collection described above, for the cross-border transfer in Section 5, and for the sharing in Section 6. You may withdraw your consent at any time (Section 8); withdrawal does not affect processing carried out lawfully before withdrawal.
5. International transfer
Your data will be transferred to and processed in China, where the Company is located. China is not covered by a European Commission adequacy decision. We rely on your explicit consent to this transfer under Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR, and we apply safeguards including access controls, encryption in transit, and data minimisation. By submitting the registration form with the consent box ticked, you explicitly agree to this transfer.
6. Sharing
We share your data only with:
- partner host institutions (universities, research institutes and enterprises), strictly for talent matching and only where you have asked us to;
- vetted service providers acting as processors under contract (e.g. the webinar platform and form tools).
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects.
7. Retention
Registration data is kept for 12 months and then deleted or anonymised, unless you proceed to a one-to-one consultation or the law requires a longer period. CV/resume data is kept only as long as needed for matching and is deleted on request.
8. Your rights
If you are in the EEA or the UK, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, email lishijing@1000help.com. We respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. California residents may exercise equivalent rights under the CCPA/CPRA at the same address.
9. Cookies
This website uses no cookies and no third-party analytics or advertising trackers. Registration is handled on the webinar platform's own page, which is governed by that provider's privacy policy.
